What to Wear
We are so excited to celebrate with you! Below is a little guidance to help with outfit planning, especially for our Guyanese wedding celebration.
Ceremony Attire
For the ceremony, we will be wearing traditional South Asian attire, think lehengas, saris, and kurtas. Guests are absolutely welcome to wear a dress, suit, sari, or whatever you feel most comfortable in.
If you are interested in wearing more traditional attire and are not sure where to start, feel free to reach out to Anjini (for obvious reasons 😉) or Jeremy, who will happily put you in touch with Anjini for recommendations and guidance.
For the ceremony, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing yellow, red, or champagne/ivory, as these colors traditionally hold special significance and are reserved for the bride (and groom).

Reception Attire: Cocktail
For the reception, the dress code is cocktail attire, and we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white.
Not sure what cocktail means? Think polished, festive, and ready to dance. For example:
-
Knee-length to floor-length dresses
-
Suits or dress shirts with slacks (tie optional, confidence required)
-
Dress for an evening of fun and shoes you can survive the dance floor in
Traditionally, many guests choose to change outfits between the ceremony and the reception, but truly, you do you. One outfit, two outfits, something in between, whatever feels right for you.
Color Palette
To make things easier, we have included a color palette for inspiration if you are interested. That said, this is just a guide. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to celebrate with us.

We cannot wait to celebrate together!
